新任国际总主任 - 包腓力
2024年2月24日，包腓力 (Phil Bauman) 在SIM美国办公室进行的国际总主任委任仪式中，承诺“坚持最重要的，为最重要的（Keep the main thing, the main thing）！”
来自加拿大的包腓力在SIM已经服事超过20年，曾经担任过 SIM 加纳主任和 SIM 全球策略发展主任。他分享了诗篇130篇3-5节的话：“耶和华啊！如果你究察罪孽，主啊！谁能站立得住呢？但你有赦免之恩，为要使人敬畏你。我等候耶和华，我的心等候他，我仰望他的话。” 包腓力对成为SIM历史的一部分感到荣幸和敬畏。他也重申了对SIM的宗旨、使命和异象的认同，并向忠诚带领SIM朝着这个使命前进至今的前国际总主任博约书亚牧师表达感谢与敬意。他还强调了他对 SIM 保持多元化和包容性的发展作出承诺：“我承诺必竭力带领SIM走向更丰富的多元化，无论上帝赋予我们的性别、地位、种族或文化有多么不同，我必会让这个差会中的每一个人都有归属感。愿我们作为一个有基督样式的团队，共同努力、共同学习并保持多元化融合的特性。”
包腓力已于 3 月 1 日正式上任SIM国际总主任，求上帝赐他智慧和能力，坚持最重要的 - 分享耶稣基督的好消息，一直都是并将永远是 SIM 最重要的核心使命！
Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing:
Phil Bauman Commissioned as SIM International Director
On February 24, 2024, at the SIM USA office, Phil Bauman was officially commissioned as the new International Director of SIM. In his address, he pledged to “Keep the main thing, the main thing!”
Originally from Canada, Phil Bauman has served with SIM for over 20 years, previously holding positions as the SIM Ghana Director and SIM Global Strategic Development Director. During the ceremony, he shared from Psalm 130:3–5:
“If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”
Phil expressed a deep sense of honor and awe at becoming part of SIM’s history. He reaffirmed his alignment with SIM’s purpose, mission, and vision, and extended heartfelt gratitude and respect to Rev. Joshua Bogunjoko, the outgoing International Director, for his faithful leadership toward that mission.
He also underscored his commitment to diversity and inclusiveness within SIM, declaring:
“I am committed to leading SIM into deeper diversity. No matter the differences God has given us—whether in gender, status, ethnicity, or culture—I will ensure everyone within this mission agency feels a sense of belonging. May we, as a Christ-like team, strive together, learn together, and remain united in diversity.”
Phil officially assumed the role of SIM International Director on March 1. May God grant him wisdom and strength to keep the main thing the main thing—proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, which has always been, and will always remain, SIM’s core mission.
